Readers: Want to Help Support Indie Authors?
Are you a BETA, ARC, or sensitivity reader?
Are you proficient in Latin, Greek, or another language?
Do you simply love to read and want to help authors by providing feedback or posting reviews?
No matter your experience level, we encourage you to sign up! Everyone starts somewhere — and joining us is a great way to grow your skills while supporting the indie author community.
We offer classes and resources to help readers understand what’s expected at each stage of advanced reading and how to craft stronger written or video reviews.
Language-Specific Readers: You’ll have the option to review the entire book or focus only on sections that need language accuracy checks.
Sensitivity Readers: You’ll help ensure respectful and accurate representation of topics related to minority groups, such as disability, race, gender, sexual orientation, and more.
Our application helps us match the right readers to the right books from the very beginning. You’ll share your favorite genres, note any potential triggers (because mental health matters), and answer a few short questions. You’ll also sign an NDA to protect our authors’ work.

Chronicle 2
You’ve been accepted as an early Reader— Now what?
First off, congratulations! We’re thrilled to have you join our team.
As a member of our Early Reader program, you agree to support indie authors by reading their pre-release books and offering your honest feedback. Your input helps authors grow and prepares their stories for publication.
We’ll keep you in the loop with detailed emails every step of the way. Here’s what to expect:
You’ll receive an email listing the available books. You’ll then have the chance to accept or decline each reading opportunity.
Once we’ve reviewed all responses, we’ll select the readers for each book and send out an acceptance email. This will include:
Instructions on the type of feedback requested
A link to access the book so you can begin reading
We will send out reminder emails to post reviews with any additional important information. Including:
Hashtags or people worth mentioning in the post
Artwork requested to be used on social media platforms.
Please help us provide the high level of service our authors deserve. They’ve worked hard to bring their stories to life, and a thoughtful review is the least we can offer to help them shine in a saturated market.
Remember: What we do is important, and we need to all be on the same page
If you haven’t scheduled or taken the required 1-hour onboarding class, remember, you have 3 months from the time you received your PR team acceptance letter to complete. If you are having trouble getting this scheduled, let us know via email earlyreaders@indiebookboundsisterhood.com
