JAMIE LINDBERG

I started reading when I was four years old and I started writing my own books when I was ten. When I hit about fourteen my obsession with music began. My love for music, reading and writing merged together about eight years ago and the idea for My Wish was born. It was the easiest thing I had ever written. I didn’t even have to think about the characters and the plot because the story wrote itself. I put it down for a long time to raise my three kids but when I picked it back up it was like I had never stopped writing. Elissa and Lydia were like my first children, although I pray my kids never act like they do throughout their journey. I genuinely hope you grow to love these characters as much as I have for so many years. This is my heart story and I just want everyone to always know that you’re never too old to do the things that you love. Be proud of who you are and never be ashamed of what you choose to do in life.

My Wish:

"Welcome in. What can I get you guys to drink?"

"We'll have two iced teas, please."

My eyes shot up suddenly when I heard the thick Irish accent… One that I would recognize anywhere, and felt the color drain from my already pale face.

Myles Murphy was sitting right in front of me.

Elissa has always felt like she just doesn’t quite fit in anywhere… Not at the bar that she works at, or on the college campus and sometimes not even within her own family. She and her best friend, Lydia, have been skating through life just trying to make ends meet for as long as she can remember. Music has been her escape from reality for years so, when Myles Murphy, the lead guitarist of Static Wishes, suddenly shows up in her world she realizes that sometimes what you wish for isn’t always what you need.
